What we do

Specialists in oil boiler servicing and maintenance

Maintain your oil boiler and avoid costly repairs or replacement. If your home or business operates an oil boiler, Invictus Mechanical engineers provide a comprehensive service for all your oil boiler servicing or oil boiler maintenance requirements.

Failing to service an oil boiler regularly can result in poorer combustion, driving up its energy consumption and the cost of running it. Eventually, this will damage the appliance and it could end up costing thousands of pounds to repair or replace it. Neglect can also lead to leaks and significant damage to your home.

Covering the South West, from Exeter to Birmingham:

Oil boiler servicing, done properly

Our OFTEC-registered engineers deliver a thorough oil boiler service that protects your appliance, your home and your wallet.

The Importance of Regular Oil Boiler Maintenance

We depend on our boilers every day so it’s tempting to take them for granted. However, to install a new boiler isn’t cheap. Regular maintenance will avoid costly repairs and keep your oil boiler working efficiently. This will seriously extend its lifespan, putting off the day when you’ll inevitably need to replace it. An oil boiler should be serviced at least once a year.

Oil Boiler Engineers You Can Rely On

At Invictus Mechanical, our highly competent engineers are all OFTEC (Oil Firing Technical Association) trained and registered. This ensures that every oil boiler service meets the highest professional standards. Using OFTEC registered engineers saves time and money because they can certify their own work for your insurance company or comply with other building regulations. Workmanship is professionally guaranteed. Our engineers are familiar with the peculiarities of Grant, Worcester Bosch, Ideal, Vaillant, Baxi, Potterton, Firebird, Warmflow, Mistral, Vokera, Glow Worm, Viessman, Ferroli, Alpha and Ariston appliances.

Pipework & Combustion Checks

In a professional oil boiler check, there is a long list of items that should be checked, and depending on the brand and model of your boiler they are not always the same. Only highly trained engineers can run through the full list correctly for your particular boiler. Firstly, the oil boiler’s pipework, clearance, and ventilation are checked. We look for leaks, cracks, corrosion, or loose fittings anywhere along the pipework or on the boiler’s outer shell, flue, electrical controls, or other components. Before the oil boiler itself is inspected, cleaned and reassembled, the fuel filter will be replaced for you. We will also change the oil nozzle and oil lines and even examine the quality of the fuel in your tank. We check for every potential risk of carbon monoxide production, leaving you with a healthy home and complete peace of mind.

Thorough Testing

More thorough testing will involve the shut-off valves, air inlets, spark electrodes, burner diffusers, ignition transformers, porcelain and HT cables, draft stabilisers, flame photocells, heat transfer surfaces, thermostats, burner nozzles, diffuser plates, flame failure device, time clocks and zone valves. Invictus Mechanical engineers understand the importance of a clean-burning fuel-source and do a final check to ensure that combustion efficiency is better than ever before they leave.

Always Ready to Help

The oil boiler servicing team covers a huge area of the South West, from Exeter to Birmingham and also encompassing Bristol, Bath, Stroud, Cirencester, Gloucester, Swindon, Chippenham and Trowbridge, and are always ready to help as quickly and efficiently as possible. Invictus Mechanical maintains its own well-stocked warehouse so we don’t need to wait for spare parts and other products.
